Paris Saint Germain ultras had to step in after the club snubbed an official farewell ceremony for Kylian Mbappe.

This week, the Frenchman officially announced his decision to leave the Parc des Princes club at the end of the 23/24 season.

Mbappe said: “I've always said that that I will speak with you when the time comes and so I wanted to announce to you all that it's my last year at Paris Saint Germain.

“I will not extend and the adventure will come to an end in a few weeks. I will play my final game at the Parc des Princes on Sunday.”

Ahead of the match against Toulouse on Sunday, it was reported that PSG could give Mbappe a farewell ceremony.

However, Le Parisien later said that the former Monaco man would not be given a farewell ceremony.

Ahead of kick-off at the Parc des Princes, PSG ultras honoured Mbappe with a huge tifo.

Reacting to the gesture, Mbappe clapped the fans with a huge smile across his face.

Howeverm there was a section of fans who booed Mbappe's name when it was read out by the stadium announcer.

During his emotional goodbye message, Mbappe added: “It's a lot of emotions, many years where I had the chance and the great honour to be a member of the biggest French club, one of the best in the world, which allowed me to arrive here, to have my first experience in a club with a lot of pressure and to grow as a player of course by being alongside some of the best in history.

“It's a club that I will keep in my memory my entire life. I will tell everybody, my whole life, that I had the chance to play here.”

Although he has been linked with Premier League clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United, it is expected that Mbappe will join Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid during the summer transfer window.

Mbappe opened the scoring in his final home match for PSG as he netted after just eight minutes against Toulouse.
