Three teams have been removed from EA Sports FC 24, it has emerged.
The new game, the first in the post-FIFA era, is released worldwide this Friday (September 29) but has already been enjoyed by plenty courtesy of the Ultimate Edition and EA Play.
It means that most already know the game inside and out before the official launch. And there's word on three teams who will not be playable in the upcoming game.
According to RaatjeFC, a popular account dedicated to Career Mode, South African sides Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns have all been removed.

All three were in FIFA 23 and were in the 'Rest of the World' section alongside other teams across the globe. More teams are expected to be cut, though EA retains the bulk of their licences for a whole host of major leagues and teams.
It has been confirmed, however, that Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond will not be present despite the roaring success of the Apple TV show.
Even more pressing, EA have elected to completely erase the FIFA franchise from history prior to EA Sports FC 24 going live.

Every single FIFA game has been taken off the online stores on various consoles, well and truly marking the end of an era.
On the PlayStation store, the only options are to buy or acquire EA FC 24, FIFA points and in-game commentary but it's also the same with the Microsoft Store, Nintendo eShop and Steam - which includes the comment: "At the request of the publisher, EA SPORTS FIFA 23 is unlisted on the Steam store and will not appear in search."
FIFA games are more or less extinct and unless you already have the game digitally, the only way you can play it is if you have EA Play.
