Wrexham are preparing to make their second signing in a matter of days as owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney show they are prepared to spend big.
After securing back-to-back promotions from the National League to League One, Wrexham are pushing to make it into the Championship having claimed seven wins and three draws from 12 games.
Despite this, the Red Dragons have been busy signing new players after manager Phil Parkinson confirmed that they would be exploring the free agent market.

And now, after reportedly securing their first singing, Wrexham are preparing to make their move to bring another player to the team.
On Thursday, Wrexham podcast RobRyanRed claimed that former Manchester United and Leicester City midfielder Matty James would be joining the club in a short-term deal.
The 33-year-old is currently is out of contract having left Bristol City in the summer, but was spotted at the Racecourse in a Wrexham training kit.

James came up through the United academy, making his way up from the under-18s to the senior team who he joined in 2009.
However, after spending most of his United career on loan with Preston North End, James joined The Foxes, who he spent nine years with including during their Premier League-winning season.
And following the signing of James, The Daily Mail have reported that Wrexham are now interested in pursuing former Bolton Wanderers striker Jon Dadi Bodvarsson.
The Icelandic international joined Bolton in January 2022 but left in June this year following the end of his contract.

In 94 appearances for the The Trotters, Bodvarsson scored 25 goals and assisted seven.
Should both James and Bodvarsson sign for Wrexham, they will occupy the two free spots that the club left open in their registered squad with the EFL.
Parkinson intentionally left these spots open to facilitate late moves to cover any injuries to the squad, but will no doubt be frustrated to be using them so early in the season.

But, having lost strikers Jack Marriott and Steven Fletcher and midfielder George Evans to injuries after just a dozen matches, Wrexham were forced into action.
