Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney could be ready to make the biggest signing in the club's history just months after the Welsh side received a huge cash injection.
Since purchasing the club in November 2020, Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have helped lead Wrexham to back-to-back promotions up to League One.
In the wake of the huge success of the Welsh side, the pair welcomed new investors in October as they sold a minority share to the Allyn family of Skaneateles.

And just months after accepting the huge cash injection, reports have suggested that the new owners are preparing to make their biggest signing in the history of the club.
According to TeamTalk, Wrexham are preparing to battle Italian side Genoa to secure the signing of Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford, after the Englishman has been linked with a move away from the Championship club in 2025.
Sources reportedly claim that the 31-year-old has spoken to Leeds manager Daniel Farke about his lack of minutes in recent games, making him aware that he would be considering a move away in the upcoming transfer windows.

Bamford is yet to start a match for the Whites in the Championship, with Joel Piroe and Mateo Joseph currently ahead of him in the pecking order.
Although he has come off the bench on eight occasions, Bamford's minutes are likely to suffer should Leeds secure promotion back to the Premier League at the end of the season.
And with his contract set to expire in 2026, Leeds may deem it worthwhile to secure a deal for him in 2025 to prevent him leaving on a free transfer.
However, Bamford's current wages would provide a significant roadblock to any move to Wrexham, as the Englishman reportedly earns around £40,000 per week, four times the wage's of the Welsh side's top earners.

Therefore, unless the Red Dragons earn their third successive promotion or striker agrees to a pay cut, Reynolds and McElhenney may be forced to look to their new investors to help facilitate the move.
In a joint-statement announcing the deal in October, Reynolds and McElhenney said: "Wrexham has earned the world’s attention and we are focused on bringing on board world-class partners to help with the next phase of our growth.
"We have been fortunate to get to know the Allyn family and we are blown away by their intelligence, kindness and commitment.

"They are exactly the type of partners we will need for this amazing endeavour."
