Mason Greenwood could still change his international allegiance ahead of Euro 2024 after receiving an 'offer'.
A few years ago Greenwood was one of the most exciting young talents in English football, but he was suspended by Manchester United when he was charged with attempted rape, assault and controlling behaviour.
The Crown Prosecution Service dropped the charges in February 2023, and United concluded an internal investigation into the player last summer.

However, it was decided that Greenwood should continue his career away from Old Trafford, and he joined LaLiga side Getafe on a season-long loan.
Having impressed in Spain in recent months, Greenwood might be targeting a return to international football.
The 22-year-old has not represented England since he made his senior debut in August 2020, but should he reverse his previous decision, he could still switch his allegiance to Jamaica.

Greenwood is eligible to play for the Caribbean nation though his father, Andrew, and FIFA rules would allow him to do so despite already playing for England in the UEFA Nations League in 2020.
FIFA states that a player can change national team even if they have played a competitive match if:
- the player held the nationality of their new association at the time of their first official appearance for their first national team.
- the player played in no more than three competitive senior games before the age of 21.
- the player has not played in the final stage of an official tournament such as the World Cup, European Championship, Copa America etc.
- at least three years have passed since the player's last senior appearance for their previous national team.

With Greenwood's solitary competitive appearance coming over three years ago, he can play for another national team if he wishes to do so.
He reportedly turned down Jamaica's advances last year, when manager Heimir Hallgrimsson publicly stated his interest in the attacker.
"We would like to have the best talent on our teams," the coach said.

"If he gets his former fitness and his former level, that level could help Jamaica.
“Of course, he will come with some baggage, but it is premature to talk about players that are not here."
On Wednesday, United's new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe left the door open to Greenwood potentially returning to Old Trafford next season.
Should Greenwood have a change of heart, then there is nothing to stop him resurrecting his international career too.
