Mason Greenwood is edging closer to a Manchester United departure after he agreed personal terms with one of the clubs interested in his signature.
It was reported last week that United have reached an agreement to sell Greenwood in a proposed deal worth £26.7 million plus 'a large share' of any future sale.
The 22-year-old forward has not played for the Premier League club since being suspended in January 2022, after being arrested on suspicion of rape and assault.

All charges against Greenwood were dropped after key witnesses withdrew their involvement and "new material came to light". The player denied all allegations.
Greenwood spent last season on loan at La Liga side Getafe, winning the club's player of the season award after scoring 10 goals in 36 appearances.
A number of clubs in Europe have expressed an interest in signing the forward this summer, including Borussia Dortmund, Benfica, Napoli and Juventus.

But it appears Ligue 1 side Marseille are close to signing Greenwood. In fact, the French club have reached an agreement in principle with the player, according to The Athletic.
This is said to be a 'significant development' in the process to resolve his future, although he must still travel to France and undergo a medical before penning a deal.
As mentioned earlier, Marseille are willing to spend £26.7 million [£23.3m fixed and £3.4m in add-ons] for the striker, as well as a large share of any future sale.

If a deal does materialise this summer, then the player would work under former Brighton manager Roberto De Zerbi, who recently took over at the Stade Velodrome.
De Zerbi recently said he will not prejudge Greenwood if he does join the French club this summer.
"Mason is a world class player but we have not recruited him yet," he said. "I don't know what happened but I am not used to get involved in my players' private life.
"But if he comes here, you have to know that I treat all my players like my sons. I can tell them off in private but I would never attack them in public."

Greenwood held talks with United chiefs at the start of pre-season over his next club. Here, he was involved in 'constructive dialogue' with members of the club's leadership team.
