A Manchester United player did not 'sign' a contract due to his ‘relationship with Erik ten Hag’, according to reports.
Ten Hag, 54, parted company with United on October 29 after a poor run of form, having failed to build on United’s 2023/24 FA Cup win.
Since then, Ruben Amorim, 39, has become head coach of the club and has seen his side win two of the three games they have played under his tutelage.

The mood is becoming increasingly positive around Old Trafford, and one player shone during United’s 4-0 trouncing of Everton on Sunday afternoon.
Amad, 22, has impressed since Amorim’s arrival, he registered two assists during Sunday’s game, which drew praise from the United boss.
"He is really big in talent but small in size," Amorim said.

"He did a great job, but he also has to improve"
“He was really good again,” explained the United boss.
"He was really good defending and really good attacking, so he has to continue to play like that.
"You could feel at the end of the game that he was really, really tired, so we have also to manage that as he increases his physical ability."

The Ivorian’s current United contract is set to expire in June 2025, but according to The Telegraph, “the club do hold an option for a further season”, but it is thought that this must be triggered before the January transfer window.
The report also suggested that “sources” say that the player’s contract will be “on the agenda” in the coming weeks.
“There was that moment, between September and October, when Erik ten Hag was not playing Amad,” explained journalist Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel on Tuesday.

“It was quite a difficult moment [for Amad],” he added.
“And that [relationship with Ten Hag] was also having an impact on the contract talks.
"That’s why the new contract of Amad was not signed yet.
“Because the situation with the coaching staff was probably not the best – they were not trusting him. And obviously, Amad wants to play on a regular basis.

“[But] [the] new coach Ruben Amorim..absolutely loves Amad.”
