Manchester United have not ruled out the possibility of Mason Greenwood returning to the club this summer, it has been claimed.
According to a fresh Times report, United are hoping to cash in on Greenwood in the coming transfer window, but may keep the striker should they not receive a reasonable offer for the 22-year-old.
Greenwood has not played for United since 2022, when he was charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour and assault.

The Crown Prosecution Service subsequently dropped the charges in February 2023 after key witnesses withdrew their involvement and new material came to light. Greenwood has always vehemently denied the accusations.
United launched an internal investigation into Greenwood’s conduct and said in August that both parties had “mutually agreed” that the player should “recommence his career away from Old Trafford”. They went on to loan him out to La Liga side Getafe.
The one-cap England international has since scored ten goals and recorded six assists in 31 appearances and, as per several publications, attracted the interest of several big clubs.

As per the Times, Juventus have made Greenwood one of their summer targets,
Moreover, the "working assumption" at United is allegedly that Greenwood will be sold, with the player valued at between £30million to £40million.
Greenwood has one year remaining on his United contract, but the club have the option to extend it by a further season.

It remains to be seen whether Juventus or any other suitor would pay the required price to sign Greenwood. If clubs fail to meet his asking price United shareholders Ineos may reportedly ponder whether to bring him back to Old Trafford.
United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe was coy on Greenwood's United future back in February.
“I can talk about the principle, I’m not going to talk about Mason,” Ratcliffe said. “I’m familiar with it. The principle is the important one because we will have other issues going forward. You’re dealing with young people ‒ they’ve not always been brought up in the best of circumstances ‒ who are very talented, they’ve got lots of money and they don’t always have the guidance they should have.
“We need to understand what the facts are. Then we need to make a fair decision in the light of the club’s values. All I can do is talk about the principle of how we will approach it. Is he the right type of footballer? Is he a good person or not?”
