It is a little strange given Endrick's age that he idolised a player from the 1960s, way before his time.
Charlton of course enjoyed a trophy-laden spell at Manchester United, winning three top-flight titles and the European Cup.
It is not the first time that the talented star has name dropped the former England international in conversation either.
After netting the only goal in Brazil's 1-0 win over England in March, the 18-year-old admitted his admiration for the United hero.

“A guy who is an idol here [at Wembley Stadium] is also Bobby Charlton,” said Endrick. “Playing in the stadium that Bobby played, scoring on the day Ronaldo debuted. These are very important memories for me.”
Set to begin his first full season in Europe, Endrick impressed Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti during their recent pre-season clash with AC Milan.
The Brazilian wonderkid made his debut in the 1-0 defeat and Ancelotti admitted his talents are like nothing he has ever seen before.

"He's very fast, very dangerous in tight spaces, has the ability to turn with speed in little space, very agile in getting himself free, and all these qualities he has means he's a great talent," as quoted by BBC Sport.
"It's rare to see a player with these types of characteristics."
Set to compete with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr for a starting spot this season, Endrick will for sure have his work cut out.
