Paul Scholes has left a brutal comment on Jesse Lingard's latest Instagram post - which Lingard has now responded to.
The 31-year-old has been without a club since leaving Nottingham Forest over the summer.
A move to Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq broke down late last year despite Lingard going on trial in the Middle East.

West Ham United also opted against signing him despite a successful loan spell at the London Stadium in 2021.
Lingard is maintaining his impressive physique and updated his 9.3 million followers on Monday evening with an image from a gym in the United Arab Emirates.
Manchester United legend Scholes, who is close to fellow Red Devils academy graduate Lingard, saw the opportunity to troll him and didn't hold back.

Scholes said: "Are you just gonna f**k about in the gym or are you gonna actually play football?"
Lingard decided to have his say after the post quickly went viral.
He sent a series of smiling emojis in the comment section of SPORTbible's post covering the incident.

Over the weekend, it was reported Spanish giants Barcelona had been offered the chance to sign Lingard.
Per Spanish news outlet SPORT, the Catalan giants are keen to add an extra midfielder to their ranks following long-term injury to teenage sensation Gavi.
Their ongoing financial issues will limit what they can do in the January transfer window.
It's likely they'll have to sign someone on the cheap or dip into the free agent market.

Manager Xavi hinted the club will be active in the market during a press conference last month.
He said: "We always want to reinforce the pieces we are missing. With Gavi's injury we need a player with that profile, it’s clear."
Lingard is an FA Cup, Carabao Cup and Europa League winner with United and brings trophy-winning experience.
