Erik ten Hag is reportedly set to hold talks with Jadon Sancho after the Manchester United boss criticised the winger's training performances.
After Sunday’s 3-1 defeat by Arsenal, United boss Ten Hag explained his decision to omit Sancho from his squad.
He said: “Jadon was [absent] on his performance on the training.

“We didn't select him. You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United and we can make choices on the frontline, so for this game, he wasn't selected.”
Sancho later released his own statement, claiming Ten Hag’s comments were not true.
He wrote: “Please don't believe everything you read! I will not allow people saying things that is completely untrue, I have conducted myself in training very well this week.

“I believe there are other reasons for this matter that I won't go into, I've been a scapegoat for a long time which isn't fair!
“All I want to do is play football with a smile on my face and contribute to the team. I respect all decisions that are made by the coaching staff, I play with fantastic players and I am grateful to do so, which I know every week is a challenge. I will continue to fight for this badge no matter what!”
According to the Daily Mail, Ten Hag is now due to hold talks with Sancho in order to clear the air.

The report claimed that some close to the 23-year-old feel he hasn’t been given a fair crack at cementing a first-team place, making the point that Antony is sometimes given preferential treatment.
However, it has been reported that United insiders denied the theory and believe that Ten Hag feels Sancho can offer more to the team.
Prior to his omission for the Arsenal clash, Sancho had previously come off the bench in all three of United’s Premier League fixtures.
After the international break, United will return to Premier League action with a clash against Brighton and Hove Albion at Old Trafford.
