Robert Lewandowski, Erling Haaland and Harry Kane are three of the most prolific goalscorers in European football - and a comparison of their statistics from their respective leagues so far this season has provided some interesting answers.
Manchester City talisman Haaland has grabbed 15 goals in 17 games across all competitions this campaign, though he and City are currently going through a difficult period.
City have lost their last five games in a row and, the forward has 12 goals in as many Premier League matches, he has found the back of the net only twice in the last seven league encounters after his blistering start gradually fizzled out.
Kane is a Premier League goalscoring legend thanks to his exploits with Tottenham Hotspur after netting 280 goals in 435 games for Spurs, before moving to Bayern in 2023 for an initial €100 million transfer fee.

All three are legendary strikers and will go down as some of the greatest goalscorers in football history but statistics from this season have shown which out of the three players have been the best this season, with a clear winner on show.
Using Squawka's comparison matrix tool, we have compiled the performances of the three players per 90 minutes solely in their respective home leagues this season and Bayern man Kane is clearly the superior player so far this term across a range of metrics.
The England captain tops almost all the categories used to measure the individual performances of the trio, including goals and assists per game, passes attempted, passing accuracy, take-ons completed and penalties won.

These include goals, chance conversion rate, assists, passes attempted, passing accuracy, long pass accuracy, crossing accuracy and through balls in the Bundesliga.
Lewandowski comes out on top in how often he has appeared this season along with his shot accuracy and his take-on success in La Liga, while Haaland's Premier League performances are not the best in any of the metrics besides shots on target per game.
Of course, all three play in different leagues and there will be debate as to which one is the best or most difficult to play in, but the fact Kane is the best out of a league all three players have plied their trade in at some stage of their careers speaks volumes.
