Fans have raised one major concern after watching Kylian Mbappe’s competitive debut for Real Madrid.
On Wednesday night the UEFA Super Cup final took place at the National Stadium in Warsaw with Champions League winners Madrid taking on Europa League holders Atalanta.
Prior to the match, all the talk was centred around the much-anticipated debut of French superstar Mbappe, who finally made his move to Madrid after leaving Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint Germain at the end of the 23/24 season.
Mbappe started alongside Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo in attack for Carlo Ancelotti’s men and was predominantly occupying the central area of the front three.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “I maintain that Mbappé isn’t meant for the middle. Guy loves/enjoys being wide on the left, cutting in.”
Another tweeted: “If mbappe plays down the middle for Madrid he will flop, dosent fit the system.”
A third fan added: “Mbappe is useless in this position, Madrid fans will soon understand that it is the most overrated player possible, happy that he left PSG.”
Someone else wrote: “Real Madrid playing Mbappe centrally as 9 is going significantly reduce his impact and performances. His best & most exciting position is out on the LW running and defenders. They should follow the C.Ronaldo path and move him centrally when he’s older.”

A fifth commented: “Mbappe in the middle doesn’t look good.”
Another fan added: “Don Carlo must play Mbappé on the wing if he wants to utilise him not through the middle. Vini must move to the right and Rodrygo can play in that no. 9 position.”
Speaking ahead of the match, Ancelotti spoke about the problem he has after Mbappe joined.

He said: “I have a very big problem. All summer I have been thinking about who to put in and who not to. It has ruined my holidays. It’s simple. They are all good. This problem doesn’t exist.
“We have a lot of games. I can’t think that the same eleven will play 70 games. Last year, those who played less contributed a lot. This year could be a key.”
