Several major European clubs are set to be missing from EA FC 25, dealing a major blow to EA Sports.
With EA FC 24 approaching the end of its lifecycle, attentions are starting to turn to the next instalment of the video game franchise formally known as FIFA.
One of the major advantages EA Sports has long held over its rival game developers is that it holds the licenses for hundreds of clubs.

However, in recent years some major clubs have signed deals elsewhere, meaning EA have had to use alternative team names and kits.
For example, for several years Juventus was not included in FIFA/EA FC games as the Serie A giants had a deal with Konami, the developers of eFootball (formerly Pro Evolution Soccer).
EA Sports once again became Juventus’ official gaming partner in 2022.

However, Inter Milan will be missing from EA FC 25 after the newly crowned Serie A champions signed a deal with Konami in 2022, which kicks in this summer.
EA will refer to Inter as 'Milano Calcio' and will have to use different logos.
As was the case in EA FC 24, there will be other major team names and logos missing from Football Ultimate Team and other game modes.
Lazio, Atalanta, Napoli and AS Roma will all remain absent. In EA FC 24, those clubs are known as Latium, Bergamo Calcio, Napoli FC and Roma FC respectively.

Gamers will be pleased to learn that all Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga and EFL clubs will be in EA FC 25.
The Premier League reached a multi-year extension with EA Sports in 2023, with the EFL and Bundesliga following suit this year.
La Liga penned a 10-year deal with the game developers in 2020.
At the time of writing, there will be no change to the stadiums available in the game.
