EA FC 25 appear to have been dealt a major blow after losing the licence of another major European club.

In recent times, EA Sports have lost the rights for a slew of top-level clubs after they signed partnership deals elsewhere.

In EA FC 24, the first game without association to FIFA, a total of four Serie A clubs were not properly featured because they were exclusive to eFootball, previously known as Pro Evolution Soccer.

Lazio, Napoli, Roma and Atalanta are all unlicensed and though player names remain the same, they have to adopt slightly different names and wear alternative kits.

It happened with Juventus previously after a spell as Piemonte Calcio before they reverted back to their iconic name.

However, leaks appear to signal that Inter Milan will become the latest top-tier side to be without a license.

EA FC account @_ReFIFA posted a screenshot from the upcoming EA FC 25 game, with Inter listed as 'Milano Calcio' with a different crest and kit.

Inter are newly-crowned champions of Italy yet again because they are about to start an official agreement with Konami.

The exclusive link-up was announced back in 2022 but only becomes official in 2024.

In a press release, Luca Danovaro, Chief Revenue Officer of Inter, said: "We are delighted to welcome KONAMI back into the Inter family and to announce this important and unique partnership, which once again proves the ever-growing value of the Nerazzurri brand and its ability to represent the ideal communication platform to engage a young, innovative and international target, capable of connecting millions of fans around the world, thanks to a long-term strategy. Starting this season, KONAMI will play a leading role in our world."

There are still lucrative deals between EA and the Premier League, Bundesliga, La Liga and the EFL so all teams in those divisions will still be present.
