Fans have taken note of Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia’s behaviour upon losing to Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final.
On Sunday, Virgil van Dijk netted a 120th-minute winner to propel Liverpool to their record-extending Carabao Cup victory and ensure Jurgen Klopp wins a piece of silverware in his final season at Anfield.
Liverpool had been dealt a spate of injuries ahead of the game, including to the likes of Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah, which resulted in Chelsea having the better of proceedings across the game.

However, Mauricio Pochettino’s squad, which has received £1billion worth of investment in the past two years, failed to capitalise on their advantage, which led to Liverpool snatching victory at the last.
After the game, Liverpool fans were quick to take note of Caicedo and Lavia’s behaviour, two players who rejected the Merseyside club to join Chelsea in the summer.
Liverpool supporters on X, formally Twitter, were quick to respond to an image being circulated of a despondent Caicedo, being consoled by Lavia after the game.

One person said: “Penny for the thoughts of Romeo Lavia consoling Moises Caicedo.”
Another said: “So fitting they moped together here. Both had a chance to join a historic football club and chose money instead.”
A third sarcastically added: "The wages are good, though, aren't they.’"

Caicedo incited the wrath of Jurgen Klopp and the Liverpool faithful during the game after his late challenge caught Ryan Gravenberch on 23 minutes, forcing the Dutchman off.
In his post-match interview with Sky Sports, Klopp confirmed Gravenberch had sustained ligament damage to his ankle, with the Netherlands midfielder pictured on crutches after the match.
“There were two teams who were fighting extremely hard and the referee did not have the level of the game,” Klopp told Sky Sports.
“That’s how it is, I’m sorry for that, I know now you’ll make a story of that but everybody saw that.

“It was not even a foul! He did not even whistle a foul! Then the fourth official explains to me that they cannot give a card. Oh, good idea!
“These boys, I’m not sure if it’s too much, too quick or whatever for them but this situation was for me obvious. We saw a Chelsea foot stamping on the ankle, it’s everything you need for a card.
“I hope it’s not bad, they did the X-ray so it’s not broken, but the ligaments got something and that’s how it is. It’s all bad, but everything else is really good.”
