New footage has emerged showing exactly what Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk did when he saw Mo Salah speaking to the media.
Salah, 32, scored twice in the 3-2 victory at St Mary’s as the Reds went eight points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.
The brace took his tally to ten goals and six assists in just twelve league games this term.

But it was Salah’s post-match comments that hit the headlines following the result.
The forward admitted that he was “probably more out than in” when discussing whether he had been offered a new contract by the club.
Salah is just one of three of Liverpool’s key players whose contract is set to expire following the 2024/25 campaign - with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Van Dijk’s futures still uncertain.

The latter of the trio, who featured against his former side on Sunday, could not help but react when he saw Salah speaking to the media scrum outside the Players Entrance at St Mary’s.
While the Egyptian was voicing his thoughts to the gathered journalists, Van Dijk slowly walked towards him before smirking and catching Salah’s eye, who also appeared to find the situation amusing.
Fans on social were quick to give their thoughts on Van Dijk’s reaction.

One said: “Mo's body language became more unsettled once VVD showed up, and he became aware of it. Almost like he got caught doing something he shouldn't have, haha.”
A second added: “What a mess so far by LFC. Poor summer window signing a crocked winger and a keeper when we have two of the best.
“Failure to get a midfielder and now on the cusp of losing club legends. No contract will outweigh the cost of replacement and the drop in output. Get it done!”
With a third saying: “If Mo, Virgil and Trent leave, it’ll be extremely embarrassing and disastrous to FSG. Everything at Liverpool is going through these players. Can’t afford to lose even one of them.”

While a fourth exclaimed: “I think Virg knows something might be coming up. No way our captain isn't in on it.”
