An England star is set to pull out of Lee Carsley's first squad as interim boss in a major blow ahead of this month's fixtures.
England face Ireland and Finland in UEFA Nations League matches on September 7 and September 10 respectively.
The Three Lions travel to Dublin to play Ireland before hosting Finland at Wembley Stadium a few days later.

And Carsley has named his squad for his first games as interim England coach after replacing Gareth Southgate, who walked away from the position following this summer's Euro 2024.
He selected four uncapped players, including an inclusion that shocked fans on social media.
Carsley also dropped the likes of Kyle Walker and Ivan Toney, who were both named in Southgate's Euro 2024 party.

Ahead of naming his first XI, the 50-year-old has been dealt a huge blow as Phil Foden is likely to withdraw from the squad.
Pep Guardiola suspects Foden will have to leave the England camp due to a virus.
Asked whether the Manchester City star will feature for his national team this month, Guardiola replied: "I don’t think so right now. I think he will not go, but I don’t know.
"He doesn’t feel well - otherwise he would be here. But like I said before, national teams decide."

The Spaniard added: "He doesn’t feel good. It’s his stomach, a little, little virus. Some people said antibiotics and so on will be fine."
So, without Foden, Carsley could play one of the uncapped players that he has selected.
Angel Gomes, Noni Madueke and Morgan Gibbs-White could be in line to feature for England against either Ireland or Finland.

Speaking in his press conference, he explained his decision to name the trio, with Tino Livramento also getting the nod.
"It was important putting my stamp on the squad but recognising how well they have done in the past. We are coming off the back of losing in a final, I feel the squad need that little injection of energy and enthusiasm," he explained.
"Looking at the squad I have picked today, I have worked with the majority, whether assisting the 21s before or currently so it was important to get players around who understand how I work.”
