England interim manager Lee Carsley has reportedly made a decision on Ben White ahead of announcing his first squad.
Earlier in the month, it was confirmed that England U21s boss Carsley has been named interim manager of the senior team after Gareth Southgate’s departure.
At the time, the 50-year-old said: “It's an honour to step up and lead this England squad on an interim basis. As I am very familiar with the players and the cycle of international football, it makes sense for me to guide the team while The FA continues the process to recruit a new manager.

“My main priority is to ensure continuity and our goal is to secure promotion in the UEFA Nations League.”
On Thursday afternoon, Carsley is set to name his England squad ahead of UEFA Nations League fixtures against the Republic of Ireland and Finland.
Ahead of the announcement, a lot has been said about whether Arsenal star White would be included.

During Southgate’s time in charge, White left England’s 2022 World Cup camp due to ‘personal reasons’ and has not been picked ever since.
At the time, it was reported that White and Southgate’s assistant, Steve Holland, had an exchange that led to the Arsenal’s man exit from the camp.
As reported by the Daily Mail, White is expected to be left out of Carsley’s first England squad.

The report stated: “There had been indications that White would come out of his self-imposed exclusion once Holland was no longer on the staff, which is now the case. But it is understood White has not expressed a change in stance since Southgate and Holland's departure with the expectation being that he will not be included.”
Meanwhile, The Guardian claimed that the likes of Rico Lewis, Tino Livramento, Levi Colwill, Morgan Gibbs-White, Harvey Elliott, Noni Madueke, Morgan Rogers and James McAtee are all being considered due to their work with Carsley for the U21 team.
