Ronaldo is hoping to start after not featuring in Sunday's 6-3 thrashing at the hands of bitter rivals Manchester City.
He was in high spirits during training, however, producing a lovely piece of skill at the expense of Martinez.
Martinez was the middle man in the 'Rondo', with Ronaldo, Diogo Dalot and Anthony Martial popping the ball around the Argentina international.

After receiving the ball, Ronaldo rolled it to his other foot before popping it through the on-rushing Martinez's legs.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner looked delighted, letting out a huge shout and looking up to the sky.
He continued to smile while spinning his arms and joking around with Diogo Dalot.
Ronaldo scored his first goal of the season in United's last Europa League game, a 2-0 victory over FC Sheriff.

The 37-year-old attempted to leave the club last summer in search of Champions League football.
No concrete offer arrived, but rumours suggest he may look for a January exit.
United manager Erik ten Hag discussed Ronaldo's current mindset in a press conference. He insisted Ronaldo is 'happy' with his current role at Old Trafford, before clarifying comments he made following defeat to City.

"He is not happy he didn’t play on Sunday. The question was what happens on the training pitch. There he is happy," Ten Hag admitted.
"But he is p***ed off when he is not playing. That is clear.
He continued: "I don’t see he’s unhappy, he’s happy, he’s training well, he’s enjoying it. Everyone is training well, there’s a good spirit, that’s not the point, it’s important as it’s a base to work well."
Ronaldo scored 24 goals in all competitions last season after re-joining from Juventus.

This season, ten Hag has opted to use one of Marcus Rashford or Anthony Martial up front.
