Chelsea have added themselves to the list of clubs that want to sign Barcelona's Frenkie de Jong, according to a report.
Manchester United and Liverpool have already shown interest in De Jong, according to SPORT, and now Chelsea are in the hunt.
United seemed to spend the majority of their summer transfer window chasing De Jong only to go and steal Casemiro from Real Madrid in the final weeks.

SPORT's report also states that Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool also wanted the young Dutch midfielder in the summer.
Barca will only sell if an 'irresistible offer' comes in
But now it is Graham Potter and Chelsea who are pushing to sign De Jong as the new Blues manager looks to change his midfield completely.

It is suggested that Potter wants De Jong in his midfield 'no matter what'.
But like United were told in the summer, Barcelona are not willing to sell for anything short of a 'irresistible offer'.
That offer could mean a club may have to trigger De Jong's release clause.
The 25-year-old signed for the Catalan club from Ajax for £65million back in 2019 and included in that deal is a £347million release clause.

Chelsea are not the only team in need of midfielders next summer.
Liverpool already look thin in the midfield department and James Milner, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain all have contracts that expire next summer.
