Man Utd and Real Madrid set to battle it out for 'classy' €50m Bundesliga player with Liverpool also interested

Man United, Real Madrid and Liverpool are all keen on one of the top prospects in the Bundesliga.

Manchester United and Real Madrid are set to battle it out with Liverpool over one of the most exciting young prospects in the Bundesliga, reports say.

Hugo Larsson of Eintracht Frankfurt is seen as a "classy and creative midfield talent" and there were reports stating that he has attracted interest from Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool.

However, a fresh report from Patrick Berger of Sky Germany claims both Real and United are high on the Swede, who made his debut for his country in January 2023.

Frankfurt are currently second in the Bundesliga and third in the Europa League table, with midfielder Larsson finding the net four times.

He only joined Frankfurt from Malmo in 2023 and has a contract which runs until 2029. Although he is extremely happy at the Waldstadion, there is the feeling that he is ready to join an elite club in the near future.

And Larsson is not seen as unsellable, with Frankfurt potentially tempted into selling one of their prized assets if they receive a "top offer" at least €50 million for the 20-year-old.

Real are long-term admirers of Larsson, with their interest dating back to his time at Malmo in his native Sweden. RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund were also offered to sign the starlet but it was Frankfurt who brought him to Germany.

Many more European top clubs are said to be monitoring Larsson, who has been described as "a formidable force in the attacking phase.”

In terms of his skillset and what he brings to the table, it's said that Larsson's "combination of strength, technical prowess, and exceptional ball control makes him incredibly difficult to dispose of" and therefore gives him plenty of appeal for progressive sides who like to dominate possession.

Larsson's next outing is on Wednesday when his Frankfurt side take on Leipzig in the DFB Pokal.
