The back-to-back Premier League champions Manchester City will be bidding to win a hat-trick of titles when the new season resumes, as Pep Guardiola prepares to potentially begin his final campaign with the club, given that the Catalan’s current contract is due to expire in the summer of 2023.
City, who beat Liverpool to yet another English top-flight title following a dramatic 3-2 victory on the final day of the season against Aston Villa, are due to have striking duo Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez within their squads when the new season kicks off in August.

The Premier League are set to announce the fixtures for the upcoming 2022/23 season in less than two weeks, with Manchester City eagerly awaiting who they will kick off their latest title defence against.
Pep Guardiola’s side suffered their only away defeat of the season away to Spurs on the opening day of the last campaign, so the Blues will be hoping to make a better start to the new season in August.
Fixtures for the new Premier League season are due to be released on Thursday 16th June 2022 at 9:00 BST.
The new season is then due to kick off on Saturday 6th August, with Manchester City due to play 16 rounds of fixtures prior to the planned pause for the Qatar World Cup.

Gameweek 16 - scheduled to be played on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th November - will be the final set of matches before the hiatus, with Premier League matches due to resume on Boxing Day - eight days after the World Cup Final.
Sunday 28th May 2023 will mark the end of the 2022/23 campaign, with the season elongated due to the five-week pause for the World Cup.
Manchester City will be fighting on four fronts once again next year, with the Champions League and Carabao Cup due to begin in September.
The Third Round of the Emirates FA Cup is scheduled for January 7th 2023.
