Liverpool fans are all making the same point after 2024/25 Premier League fixtures released

Liverpool will take on Ipswich Town on the opening weekend of the 24/25 season.

Liverpool fans have been reacting after the 24/25 Premier League fixtures were announced.

With the start of the new Premier League campaign less than two months away, the fixtures were released on Tuesday morning.

Manchester United will kick off the weekend with a Friday night match against Fulham at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, champions Manchester City will begin their title defence with an away trip to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.

Liverpool have been handed a potential banana skin as they take on newly-promoted Ipswich Town at Portman Road.

The Reds will play at 12:30pm on Saturday August 17, live on TNT Sports.

On social media, Liverpool fans have all made the same point as they reacted to their team’s fixtures.

One said: “Deeply funny that Arne Slot's first Liverpool game is a 12:30 kick-off on TNT Sports.”

Another tweeted: “Liverpool getting the first 12:30 kick-off of the new season is excellent sh**housery from the Premier League.”

A third fan added: “Of course we get the 12.30. Bet Slot was fully expecting this after his chat with Kloppo.”

Someone else wrote: “A 12:30 kick-off straight off the bat. Klopp might be gone, but some things never change lmao.”

A fifth commented: “12:30 kick-off on a Saturday. Football heritage.”

During his time as Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp had plenty to say when it came to the early kick-off on a Saturday.

He said: “I would like to be part of that meeting when someone says: 'Liverpool 12:30' and the whole room is bursting into laughter.

“I had a discussion only the other day with colleagues from our favourite TV channel, which I will definitely not watch again, TNT. Thursday, Sunday, Wednesday, Saturday 12.30pm, is a crime.”
