The Sydney Swans were left with the tough decision of ruling out their skipper Callum Mills from taking to the field for the AFL Grand Final.
Mills was also unavailable for the Preliminary Final after he sustained a hamstring injury the week prior.
“Sydney Swans captain Callum Mills will not play in Saturday’s AFL Grand Final,” the Swans revealed in a club statement.

“Mills trained this morning and after taking everything into consideration a joint decision was made by the club’s medical staff and the coaches to rule him out.
“Mills initially strained his hamstring at training a fortnight ago.”
Callum has had some rotten luck with injuries, managing only seven games this season courtesy of a shoulder injury.
It is understood that Callum was visibly distraught after being made aware of the news by head coach John Longmire.
