A Dutch athlete was knocked out cold during a race at the 2025 European Indoor Championships.
Last week, the European Indoor Championships took place across four days inside the Omnisport Apeldoorn Arena in Apeldoorn, the Netherlands.
On Sunday evening, the women's 3000-metre final took place, but the event was marred by a horrible accident.

Dutch athlete Maureen Koster was knocked out cold during the race and had to be wheeled away on a stretcher after suffering a fall.
As reported by the Daily Mail, the 32-year-old hit her head on the track after tangling with two British athletes in the early parts of the final.
It was suggested that Koster was motionless and unconscious before being wheeled away from the arena and taken to the hospital.

The report stated that the Dutch federation later confirmed Koster was 'conscious and responsive'.
Ireland's Sarah Healy won gold ahead of Britain's Melissa Courtney-Bryant.
Speaking afterwards, Courtney-Bryant's attention was fully focussed on her good friend Koster, she said: "She's a really good friend of mine. I know her really well because we used to train together. We normally room together at Diamond Leagues. We are really close.
"I couldn't see anything but I heard her scream, so I knew it was her. I just thought, 'That was Maureen who has gone down'. It put everyone on edge. It was carnage."

She added: "Because she was a home favourite as well, the crowd really reacted, and everyone else was really anxious because of it.

"I really wanted a medal today, but I would have loved her to medal being in her home country."
Fellow team GB athlete, Hannah Nuttall, who was in front of Koster at the time of her fall, said: "I was in front of her and I heard something click behind me and just heard a scream.
"Obviously it didn't sound great. I hope she's OK."
