Gary Lineker's brother Wayne breaks silence after being 'knocked out cold' in shocking incident

Footage of the incident did the rounds on social media, with Gary Lineker's brother Wayne collapsing to the floor.

Gary Lineker's brother Wayne has taken to social media for the first time after footage of him being knocked out emerged online.

On Wednesday, a video went viral of the Ocean Beach club owner stepping out of a car before being approached by a group of men.

After a verbal exchange with the group, the 62-year-old was floored with a single punch outside Eden Bar, San Antonio in Ibiza.

The altercation is believed to have happened in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

According to The Sun, the 62-year-old was "out cold for at least six minutes"' and also had "blood pouring out of his mouth".

The incident is believed to have happened after a man and his friends "began pestering" a female acquaintance of Lineker in her 20s.

It's claimed police did attend the scene and Lineker eventually left in a taxi.

On Wednesday, Lineker took to Instagram for the first time since the attack.

He did not address the incident and instead wished his son Freddie a happy 20th birthday.

"Sorry @freddie_lineker you won’t like me for this but as a dad it’s very special… "Happy 20th birthday to my special handsome boy and superstar DJ… keep doing what’s [sic] you’re doing.

"Big things coming your way and to your credit without any help from me!! 'Dad I got this, Appreciate you wanting to help me but I need to do this myself.' So proud of you when you said this to me. Love you #my boy."

Wayne is a year younger that Match of the Day host Gary and is best-known for owning some of the biggest bars and clubs in the Spanish islands.

He regularly hosts top-tier celebrities at Ocean Beach, including a slew of footballers.

Jack Grealish has attended events at the spot and Lineker offered him a four-week loan deal to work at the beach club after he was left out of England's Euro 2024 squad.
