Rey Mysterio’s feud with his upstart son Dominik has been one of the most entertaining WWE rivalries in recent times.
They’ve been at odds for the better part of six months and even clashed in one of the most anticipated bouts at WrestleMania 39.
Rey won on that occasion thanks to some help from singer-megastar Bad Bunny but has still been locked in a storyline with his son.

It has all stemmed from a lack of respect shown from the young Mysterio to his Hall of Fame father.
The Luchador appeared on Logan Paul’s IMPAULSIVE to discuss the rivalry and his hopes that his son would grow out of the disrespect.
He said: “It came from a bit of jealousy from my son, but he knows, man, I’ve given him everything, the lifestyle that I wish I would have had as a kid.

“But at the end of the day, when you said it was just a phase that we went through, I’m hoping this is just a phase.”
Rey went on to explain that the two had butted heads when Dominik was younger, however, was shocked with the disrespect shown toward his mother.
He continued: “He was, from a very young age, a mama’s boy, always.
“He didn’t like to hang out with me. He always stuck around Mom. So I get it if he wants to be like that with me. But when I see him act like that with his sister, well, you know, brother and sister always bump heads constantly.”

While the former World Heavyweight Champion had refused to initially face his son, things have now changed after they finally went at it at WrestleMania.
And with things seemingly not yet settled between the two, the master of the 619 believes he has the perfect way to finally end things.
He told Paul: “Maybe I put my mask on the line against his hair, which is in lucha culture, and if I lose, I take my mask off, and if he loses, he shaves his hair off.

“That might be interesting.”
Rey noted that it wasn’t yet the plan but he would ‘pitch it out’ and challenge Dominik.
The Mask vs. Hair match is one of the most prestigious matches in all of wrestling.
It has been a staple of Luchador wrestling, particularly in Mexico where it is often used to settle a feud.

Rey Mysterio himself has competed in more than a handful of matches already and actually lost on one occasion to Kevin Nash and Scott Hall in WCW.
It’s been many years since we’ve seen the legendary Luchador without his mask.
It would be the ultimate act of disrespect for Dominik to unmask his father.
