WWE legend Rey Mysterio has revealed he would love to face Finn Balor sooner rather than later in a dream match.
Mysterio takes on Roman Reigns inside Hell in a Cell on SmackDown and it'll be the first time they've ever squared off.
Speaking ahead of that match, Mysterio told SPORTbible that NXT star Balor is another first-time opponent he's keen to mix it up with.
He said: "I've talked about possibly facing Finn Balor, I'd love to face Finn. There would be some awesome chemistry there. We were in a Survivor Series match together in 2018 or 2019 maybe?
"I got a chance to face off with him for a split second and that brief moment made me think about what we could do in a singles match."
The legendary luchador is currently one half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions alongside his son, Dominik.
Since his debut, Dominik has been involved in his father's feud with Brock Lesnar as well as a one on one match with Seth Rollins at SummerSlam.
Last month saw the Mysterios defeat Dolph Ziggler and Bobby Roode to become the first father and son duo to hold WWE tag titles.
"I think I got my second wind when my son jumped in the ring," Mysterio continued.
"It happened so fast and, due to that, I am really experiencing a great moment right now - to be able to share the ring and create history together.
"It takes my focus off my injuries and off my tiredness, and that just pushes and motivates me to keep going."
Last Friday saw Dominik on the receiving end of a hellacious powerbomb to the outside by Reigns.
The spot went viral on social media and fans were very impressed... that is, every fan but one.
"I still get goosebumps, I'm a nervous wreck every time he steps in the ring!" the 46-year-old continued.
"Every time he tries to do something new. Dominik is very spontaneous and has done things for the first time in a match, which is crazy. The way I was taught, you train, you train, you train and then you try to perfect the move.
"But with Dominik, it feels like he's been in there for years and everything comes so easy to him. He says he envisions it, tries to do it, then it happens.
"I do get very nervous when I see him do anything crazy like that before, I think it's my fatherly instinct."
