Joe Rogan lost it after hearing why John Cena was sued for 'breach of contract'

Joe Rogan lost it after hearing why John Cena was sued for 'breach of contract'

The 57-year-old was not best pleased...

Joe Rogan is never far from controversy given the outspoken nature of his popular self-titled podcast.

The 57-year-old famously couldn't keep his cool when he was asked about John Cena's 'breach of contract' that hit the headlines in 2017.

Cena, one of the WWE's most famous superstars, is often handed gifts to help with promotion of specific high-end goods.

And eight years ago, it emerged that Cena was handed a brand new Ford GT with one of the terms of the agreement he had to keep the car for 24 months.

But after failing to find comfort in the high-powered automobile, Cena sold the car after just a month and subsequently kept the profits.

Rogan was therefore left to fume when the news emerged that the 47-year-old wrestler-turned-actor was punished for the sale.

“You can’t do that," began the veteran UFC commentator.

"I don’t think that’s enforceable. I think once the contract is signed and you take possession of this object, that’s yours.

"Do whatever you want. It’s America Motherf**er! But Ford, f***ing hats off.

"You made a dope a** car. That thing is amazing.”

The suit stated, as per a 2017 Forbes article, that Cena 'unfairly made a large profit from the unauthorized resale flip of the vehicle, and Ford has suffered additional damages and losses, including, but not limited to, loss of brand value, ambassador activity and customer goodwill due to the improper sale'.

The popular US car manufacturer proceeded to sue Cena for $500,000 and by the following year, Ford and Cena settled the suit out of court.

Cena also issued an apology. He said in a statement: "I love the Ford GT and apologise to Ford, and encourage others who own the car to respect the contract.

"I am pleased we could resolve this matter outside of court, and that a worthy charity will benefit from one of the most iconic cars in the world."

WWE fans have been saddened to see shows without Cena in recent years as he looks to wind down his famous wrestling career.

The US star confirmed he will compete in his final ever Royal Rumble this weekend as he continues his emotional WWE farewell tour.
