Michael van Gerwen is the highest-paid darts player of all time ahead of the legendary Phil Taylor and 2022 PDC World Darts Championship winner Peter Wright.
The 32-year-old Dutch star, who is ranked No 3 in the world, has won the World Darts Championship three times in his remarkable career.
Van Gerwen was initially scheduled to face Chris Dobey in a third-round match at the 2022 World Darts Championship.
However, the three-time world champion was forced to withdraw from the tournament after he tested positive for coronavirus.
The Daily Star has now compiled the highest-earning darts players of all time, with Van Gerwen coming out on top of the star-studded list.
Mighty Mike, who was world No 1 from 2014 to 2021, is considered the richest darts player thanks to his hefty £8.5m earnings.

Gerwyn Price secured his first PDC World Championship title in 2021 after beating Gary Anderson 7-3 in the final at the Alexandra Palace in London.
The 36-year-old Welshman, who is the No 1 darts player in the world, came eighth in the best-paid players with his £2.2m earnings.
Price failed to defend his championship status at the 2022 PDC World Championship, with Wright beating Michael Smith to capture his second PDC title.
