Luke Littler will force a major change to the trophy presentation for the World Darts Championship regardless of whether he beats Luke Humphries tonight, it has been reported.
The 16-year-old will take on the provisional world number one at Alexandra Palace tonight, looking to cap off what has been an incredible two weeks in London.
The Runcorn-born dartist beat Rob Cross 6-2 in the semi-final in yet another confident display, where he averaged over 100 for the fifth time in the tournament.

Earlier rounds saw him beat Matt Campbell, Brendan Dolan and Raymond van Barneveld, with the reigning World Youth Champion surging towards the showpiece event in some style.
He faces his biggest test tonight, though, with Humphries having been the best player on the planet this season.
In his 6-0 semi-final win over Scott Williams, 'Cool Hand Luke' averaged over 107 in what was perfect preparation for the Ally Pally showdown.

In normal circumstances, should Humphries win, he would be congratulated by a member of the Paddy Power team, who sponsor the tournament, and be handed the tournament's Sid Waddell Trophy by a Paddy Power representative, as is customary since the gambling firm took over sponsorship of the tournament.
However, SportsLens have reported that, because of Littler being under the age of 18, there will be no Paddy Power representative on the stage.
It is also said that the trophy will not feature any Paddy Power logos, with a member of the PDC handing over the winning cheque instead.
Paddy Power will also be unable to post any imagery or video content of Littler to their social media accounts, it is reported.

Should the 16-year-old win, he would become the youngest ever champion in the history of the PDC World Championship.
He is already the youngest finalist, breaking the record set by 21-year-old Kirk Shepherd in 2008. On that occasion, the Swindon-born dartist lost 7-2 to John Part in the final.
