The PDC world darts championship is upon is again and providing unmissable action from Alexandra Palace over the festive period.
The 2024 edition sees a total of £2.5 million in prize money up for grabs, with the winner taking home a massive £500,000 and the runner-up getting £200,000 richer.
Although the roots are in the pub, TV revenue and commercial deals mean there is plenty of money and darts.
As a by-product from success on the oche, several players have done well financially from the sport.

Nicknamed 'Wolfie', Adams never competed in the PDC but instead made his money in the British Darts Organisation (BDO) and won three BDO World Championships.

The Canadian retired a three-time world champion in 2018 and made more than $1 million from his career.
6.Adrian Lewis - $2 million
'Jackpot' is Lewis' nickname after he won big in Las Vegas in 2005 but was too young to collect the funds. In darts, however, the back-to-back PDC world champion has made $2 million.
5.Peter Wright - $2.5 million
'Snakebite' has more than enough dollar to dye his hair different colours and won the world championship in both 2020 and 2022.

4.Gary Anderson - $3 million
The Scotsman is a two-time back-to-back PDC world champion and sponsorships with him Unicorn and Lonsdale have also increased his bank balance.
3.Raymond van Barneveld - $4 million
'Barney' is one of the all-time greats and his longevity has helped him collect $4 million from darts.
2.Michael van Gerwen - $8 million
'Mighty Mike' is still only 34 and yet he's a three-time PDC world champion who has won $7 million in prize money from his incredible achievements, while he is sponsored by Unibet and Target Dart.
1.Phil Taylor - $10 million
By far the most famous darts player of all time, 'The Power' has made millions after an outstanding career where he won 214 professional tournaments and 16 world championships.
