The 2024 Paris Olympic Games opening ceremony will have five rules that cannot be broken.
On Friday night, all eyes will be fixated on France’s capital city, Paris, as the 2024 Olympic Games officially get underway.
The Games will be opened with a star-studded ceremony, during which the likes of Lady Gaga, Celine Dion and Aya Nakamura are scheduled to perform.
Ahead of the much-anticipated ceremony, it has been revealed that it will contain five elements that cannot be overlooked by the organisers.

As reported by Deadline, the ceremony must include the entrance of the head of state and International Olympic Committee (IOC) president; the playing of the host country’s national anthem; the revealing of the Olympic rings; a rendition of John Lennon’s iconic song ‘Imagine’ and the lighting of the Olympic cauldron.
Team GB will head into the Olympics with medal hopes across a range of different events.
The likes of Andy Murray, Jack Draper and Katie Boulter will hope to bring some medals back in Tennis. Meanwhile, Tom Daley heads into the diving event as the defending champion having won the gold medal in Tokyo in the men’s synchronised 10-metre platform.

On the Athletics track, Dina Asher-Smith and Katrina Johnson-Thompson have the chance to do well in their respective events.
For the opening ceremony, Daley and rower Helen Glover will be the flag bearer for Great Britain.
Speaking about the honour, Daley said: “I was sworn to secrecy, I was told two days ago. The first person I called was my husband Lance, because I wanted to tell him.
“It has been really tough, we moved to America and then I decided I wanted to go back to training, and it has been hard with the travel.”

He added: “It has been a real journey. I feel really proud to have committed to going on another Olympic journey, against all odds. I really went for it and he was so happy for me.
“I'm looking forward to sharing the moment with Helen too, she is such an inspiration.”
