Fans have been left stunned after realising how far away the archery target is at the Olympics.
Archery first made its Summer Olympics debut back in 1900 and has been contested in 18 Olympiads.
South Korea are the most successful team in archery having won 29 out of 41 gold medals since 1984.

This year in Paris, South Korea won gold in both the men’s and women’s team events.
But fans have been left stunned after realising how far away the target actually is.
As per the rules, the distance between the archers and the targets is 70 metres.

Due to TV magic, the distance looks so much closer than it is in real life. Reacting on social media, one fan said: “Anyone else’s mind blown when you realise how far away the Olympics archery target is?!”
Another tweeted: “I think archery is the perfect example of an ‘I could do that!’ Olympic sport when, in actual fact, 99% of us couldn’t even reach the target, never mind hit it.”
A third fan added: “In my mind I knew it was far, but then you see it and it’s incredible.”
Someone else wrote: “On TV they never show that. Wow.”

A fifth commented: “They should really make this more clear in the broadcast.”

Another fan said: “The more amazing thing is the drift. The archers hit it high and then the Arrow gets down in the air too the target. Preety tough.”
Someone joked: “The target’s in a different time zone!”
Team GB hopeful Conor Hall was denied a place in the quarter-final of the men’s individual archery after losing to teammate Tom Hall in the round of 16.
The pair were level at 5-5 when Tom Hall managed to get the closest to the target, meaning he advanced into the last eight.
