It should come as no surprise that greatest quarterback ever to play in the NFL has a competitive streak that extends beyond the gridiron.
Tom Brady was three-time MVP during his legendary NFL career and, across spells with the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, won an unprecedented seven Super Bowls.
After retiring in 2023, the game's most decorated trigger man has embarked on a broadcasting career, inking a $375m, 10-year deal to provide colour commentary on Fox Sports' NFL coverage.

In his spare time, Brady is a keen golfer. And his competitiveness on the links got him into a heated – if friendly – back-and-forth with an NBA icon.
Brady was playing alongside golf GOAT Tiger Woods in Capital One's The Match in 2020 and former NBA MVP Charles Barkley was providing commentary.
Both Brady and Woods were wearing microphones and could head the broadcast audio. As such, a playful banter soon picked up between Brady and Barkley.

"Tom, because you're my man -- $50,000 if you hit the green," Barkley said as Brady prepared for one tee shot.
"Wow," the quarterback replied.
Brady then proceeded to shank his shot some distance wide of the green.
"Chuck, you saved yourself $50,000," he said.
"Woof," Barkley replied. "I should have just said, 'If you can just keep it on the planet."

After the ribbing had continued at length, with Barkley challenging the former Patriots legend to a one-v-one match in which he'd spot the NFL star as many shots as he wanted, Brady then took revenge.
The 6ft 4ins gridiron pass master produced what was later labelled the shot of the day, hitting the green from distance and sending his ball spinning back to within a few feet of the hole.
"Chuck, take a suck of that, Chuck," Brady hollered. "Shut your mouth, Chuck.
"Take a little of that medicine. Get your butt out here."

Despite getting the last laugh over Barkley, though, Brady and Woods were ultimately beaten by the pairing of Peyton Manning and Phil Mickelson at the charity event.
