Fans have made their feelings clear on Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl half-time show

Kendrick Lamar was the half-time show headliner as the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs.

Fans have been reacting on social media after watching Kendrick Lamar's performance during the Super Bowl half-time show.

On Sunday night, the biggest event on the NFL calendar took place at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, as the Philadelphia Eagles battled the Kansas City Chiefs for the Super Bowl.

The Chiefs, led by the likes of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, were looking to win three Super Bowls on the spin while the Eagles sought revenge for their 2023 defeat.

The Eagles produced a stunning performance as they dominated the Chiefs from start to finish, claiming a one-sided 40-22 victory.

During the half-time interval, Lamar performed a number of his hits, including 'HUMBLE' and 'Not Like Us'.

The rapper was joined by SZA and also brought out tennis legend Serena Williams, who had a little dance cameo during the performance.

However, fans were left underwhelmed by the overall performance.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: "Bizarre decision by the NFL to have some guy come out and lethargically mumble a bunch of songs that 90 percent of the NFL audience has never heard."

Another tweeted: "Boring halftime show."

A third fan added: "I actually shut it off. I have no desire to see somebody I’ve never heard of and listen to them."

Someone else wrote: "Kendrick halftime show was so bad don’t let nobody else try to tell you otherwise. Crowd was not moved an inch."

A fifth commented: "I’ve seen Kendrick put on AMAZING live performances…. THAT was not one of them."

Another fan said: "I love Kendrick, and that half time show was underwhelming."

Speaking after the crushing defeat, Chiefs star Mahomes said: "They beat us pretty good, the worst I think I've been beaten in a long time.

"Credit to the Eagles they played better than us from start to finish. Obviously the turnovers hurt - I've just got to take all the blame for that."

He added: "Those early turnovers swing the momentum of the game and they capitalised on them. It was kind of 14 points that I gave them and it's hard to come back from that at the Super Bowl. I just didn't play to my standard and I have to be better next time."
