Dana White set himself a strict rule after supporting Donald Trump in his successful presidential election campaign.
The UFC chief is a close friend of the president and has invited him to a number of UFC events over the years. For the past presidential election where Trump went up against Kamala Harris, White was a vocal supporter of Trump and spoke at the Republican National Convention and other rally events.
He also used his contacts to help Trump appear on podcasts and platforms hosted by the likes of UFC commentator Rogan, Theo Von, Adin Ross, the Nelk Boys and Andrew Schulz, which allowed him to reach a new and important audience.

Then, when Trump was re-elected to become the 47th president, White spoke at the victory party in West Palm Beach, Florida and praised the 78-year-old.
“Nobody deserves this more than him, and nobody deserves this more than his family does," White said.
"This is what happens when the machine comes after you,” White said of Trump at his election night party. “This is karma, ladies and gentlemen. He deserves this. They deserve it as a family.”

Sporting a red tie, White was invited to attend Trump's second inauguration at the White House - yet back in November the 55-year-old said he was no longer going to be involved in politics.
Appearing to want to focus on making big fights happen in UFC, he described the political sphere as "gross" and "disgusting" and does not intend in being present for any future campaigns.
"I’m never f***ing doing this again,” White told The New Yorker.
“I want nothing to do with this s***. It’s gross. It’s disgusting.”

Despite his remarks, White is still a huge fan of Trump and showered him with praise in the same interview - hailing his toughness after the assassination attempt on him which saw a bullet hit his ear during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
“Donald Trump is tougher and more badass than anybody,” White stated.
“You can only pray that you’re a quarter of the man that Donald Trump was when a guy tried to take seven shots at his head with a high-powered rifle with a f***ing scope on it.”
