Bare Knuckle Fighting Comes To England For The First Time This Saturday

The phenomenon that is the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship arrives in London for the first time this Saturday.

The phenomenon that is the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship arrives in London for the first time this Saturday, August 20th with a card you do not want to miss.

The event which is taking place at the OVO Arena Wembley is headlined by British mixed martial arts sensation Michael ‘Venom’ Page and undefeated American BKFC superstar ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry. Limited tickets are still available for the event.

London born Michael Page is one of MMA’s biggest stars and is ranked as the number two fighter in Bellator. Page has an impressive record in MMA, winning 20 out of 22 fights with 12 of those wins coming via knockout.

Former UFC welterweight Perry made a winning start to his BKFC career after defeating Julian Lane earlier this year by unanimous decision. Both fighters were bloodied within minutes of the fight after coming out the gate swinging, with a similar approach expected this weekend.

Perry had a message for Page ahead of their fight, “You slippery little snake boy. I’m coming after you. I’m coming for you. You should be worried, MVP. I’m a psychopath. I am going to break your hands with my forehead”

Whilst Perry is known for his aggression, Page isn’t too worried. “Mike Perry is going to come forward, he’s an aggressive fighter. But I’ve been in front of many aggressive fighters before. I’m a walking Rubik’s cube and a lot of people are too stupid to work it out.”

“This will be one of the biggest fights of the year,” said BKFC founder David Feldman. “MVP versus Platinum Perry is truly a fan’s fight! Fans of combat sports in the UK will truly enjoy this event, as well as around the world. Thanks to the Bellator Team for helping make this happen!”

The Page vs Perry fight is supported by a stacked undercard that starts at 6pm. It’s another British/American battle as Connor ‘Brum Town Bomber’ Tierney takes on Joe ‘Hitman’ Elmore in a welterweight clash. Tierney’s previous fight against Jeremiah Riggs was an early contender for ‘Fight of the Year’ and with him meeting the exciting Elmore, this could well be another classic.

England’s own Mick Terrill faces former BKFC World Title Challenge Sam ‘The Hillbilly Hammer’ Shewmaker in the heavyweight division. With both fighters coming off of a loss, the pair will be going into this fight with a point to prove.

Tickets start from £55 but are selling out quickly so don’t miss out on your chance to see the explosive action in the flesh.
