Scottie Scheffler has been detained by police near Valhalla Golf Club ahead of the second round of the PGA Championship, according to reports.
Scheffler, the number one ranked golfer in the world, was due to tee off a 1:48pm BST after shooting four under in the first round.
However, things took a turn on Friday morning when he was placed in handcuffs and detained by police officers at Valhalla Golf Club.

According to ESPN reporter Jeff Darlington, Scheffler drove past an officer at the entrance to the golf club after a misunderstanding about traffic flow measures.
"The police officer attempted to attach himself to Scheffler’s car, and Scheffler then stopped his vehicle at the entrance to Valhalla," Darlington, who caught the incident on camera, said on ESPN.
"The police officer then began to scream at Scheffler to get out of the car.

"When Scheffler exited the vehicle, the officer shoved Scheffler against the car and immediately placed him in handcuffs. He is now being detained in the back of a police car."
In the video, a police officer can be heard saying: "Here's the thing. Right now he's going to jail. He's going to jail and there's nothing you can do about it."

A charge sheet filed by the local court is available to view online, and it reveals that Scheffler has been charged with second degree assault of a Police officer, 3rd degree criminal mischief, reckless driving and disregard for signals from and officer directing traffic.
According to ESPN+, Scheffler has now been taken back to Valhalla Golf Club.
