Tottenham are closing in on a deal to bring Yves Bissouma to the club after agreeing a £25 million fee with Brighton.
Arsenal were believed to be interested in signing the midfielder but the lure of Champions League football at Tottenham proved too big to turn down.
Spurs fans will be happy that they have beaten their bitter rivals to the talented midfielder’s signature.

Bissouma has delighted Spurs fans before after a footage of him laughing at Arsenal’s Emirates stadium went viral back in 2019.
The footage was after Brighton managed to hold Arsenal to a 1-1 draw at the Emirates, all but ending the Gunners’ top four hopes.
Bissouma was seen hysterically laughing after the final whistle as the Arsenal players looked dejected.
Arsenal were battling Spurs for a place in the top four in the 18/19 season, and after picking up just four points from a possible 18 they have let a top four spot slip through their fingers, very much like what happened in the 21/22 campaign.

Spurs fans were delighted after the footage went viral and demanded their club to sign the midfielder.
One fan tweeted: “Sign Bissuma to a life-long contract, @Levy.”
They finally got their wish as the deal is expected to be finalised in the coming days.
The Mali international has been a key component in Graham Potter’s side as he continued his development into one of the best players of his position in the Premier League.

Brighton were hoping they could tempt Bissouma into signing a new deal at the club after rejecting advances from Tottenham for the midfielder in January.
But Bissouma made it clear towards the end of last season that he sees his future elsewhere, and with just one year left of his current contract at the Amex Stadium, the club has decided to cash in on one of their most prized assets.
Bissouma first joined Brighton from French Ligue 1 side Lille back in 2018, since then he has made 123 appearances for the club, scoring six times. His combative style of play will be a real asset for Antonio Conte as he looks to build a squad capable of closing their gap with the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool at the very top.

The 25-year-old will come in as Spurs' third summer signing after Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster were signed a few weeks ago.
