Scotland players are facing a proper dilemma as they gear up to face England next month.
England women’s lost on Tuesday night after a late penalty from Tessa Wullaert sealed a 3-2 victory for Belgium.
Scotland meanwhile were beaten 1-0 by the Netherlands, leaving them in a rather sticky situation ahead of next year’s Olympics.
Currently, England are the nominated nation to qualify on behalf of Team GB as they are the highest-ranked team.

However, on the back of their defeat by Belgium, England are now third in their Women’s Nations League table with just two matches remaining.
To qualify for the Olympics, Sarina Wiegman’s team have to finish top of their group.
This leaves Scotland with a tricky situation as if their players want to represent Team GB in the Olympics, it would be better for them to lose against England when they face off next month.
ABC Sport journalist Samantha Lewis wrote on social media: “There's an insane situation unfolding with Team GB rn. if Scotland beat England to qualify for the Olympics, none of them will actually go because Team GB is represented by the highest-ranked team (ENG) so the best chance Scots have of going to Paris will be letting England win.

“By the very same token, Scotland could knock Team GB out of the Olympics entirely *and* possibly get England relegated from their Nations League group. chaos in both directions.”
After the match against Belgium, England boss Wiegman said: “First of all we have to beat the Netherlands by more than one goal at Wembley [in December] so we know we have work to do.
“We have put ourselves in a hard position.”
