Vinicius Jr has named the one club he would leave Real Madrid for as new staggering transfer value revealed

Real Madrid take on Mexican side Pachuca in the Intercontinental Cup final on Wednesday night with Vini Jr expected to feature.

Vinicius Jr has named the one club he would consider leaving Real Madrid for as he prepares for yet another major final with the Spanish giants.

Vini Jr has enjoyed a meteoric rise to the summit of world football in recent years and on Tuesday night was crowned the best men's player on the planet at the 2024 FIFA Best Awards.

It comes after he controversially missed out on the 2024 Ballon d'Or to Manchester City star Rodri.

Vinicius Jr claimed FIFA's top individual men's prize at an awards ceremony in Doha on the eve of Real Madrid's Intercontinental Cup final match against Pachuca – which will coincidentally take place in the Qatari capital.

The Brazilian is expected to start against the Mexican side at the Lusail Stadium, the venue for the 2022 World Cup final.

If Madrid win, it will be the 14th trophy Vinicius Jr has won since joining the defending European and Spanish champions from Brazilian side Flamengo in 2018.

He has won three La Liga titles and the Champions League twice with Madrid, in addition to two FIFA Club World Cup trophies, the UEFA Super Cup twice, the Copa del Rey once and the Spanish Super Cup three times.

The Brazil international has already racked up a remarkable 96 goals in 286 games for Madrid and was recently given a new transfer value of €200m (£165m) by Transfermarkt – making the joint-most valuable player in the world along with Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.

Vini Jr is under contract with Madrid until 2027 and shows no signs of leaving the Bernabeu any time soon.

But he has already revealed where he plans to go, if he does one day call time on his Madrid career.

"I think I could stay here my whole career, but the club of my life is Flamengo," he told L'Equipe in 2023.

"I love life here in general, and it's going well for my family too. When my loved ones walk around, they are recognised and they wish us nothing but happiness.

"Little by little, I discovered this new life, new emotions, a fervour... Madrid is unique. Everyone around the world tells me about this club.

"And apart from that, I like it. I'm quite a homebody, but we do a lot of activities."
