Virgil van Dijk's agent offered him to a European giant, but the proposal was REJECTED, according to stunning reports.
Van Dijk has been the subject of intense transfer speculation as his existing Liverpool deal expires at the end of the season.
He remains in talks with Liverpool over a new deal, with Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold also in the same position.
Van Dijk is free to speak to foreign clubs as he enters the final six months of his current contract.

But, according to Spanish outlet Relevo, Van Dijk's representatives have already contacted Real Madrid, having informed them of the star player's willingness to join the club from the summer of 2025.
Per the report, the offer was rejected by Real, who declined the proposal, taking into account his 'age' and 'condition'.
They want players who are better suited to what they’re looking for.
Van Dijk, 33, has been at Anfield since January 2018 following his £75 million switch from Southampton.

He's been in commanding form this season, making 25 appearances across all competitions as the Reds fight on four fronts.
After his side's 2-2 draw with Manchester United, he was asked about his contract situation to which he replied: "Nothing."
Pushed on if he was expecting any update soon, the Dutchman replied: "I don’t think so, but I am calm about it, like I said months ago.
"We’ll see what happens in the future and at this point I have got absolutely no update. It’s all about at the moment focusing, for me and the team, on Spurs [on Wednesday night]. It will be a tough game again, but a good [Carabao Cup] semi-final."

Arne Slot has remained unfazed about Van Dijk's contract situation as he has continued to feature the centre-back this season.
"[The] contract situation becomes a problem if players don't perform as well as they are now," he said last November. "At the moment all three are in a good place performing really, really well.
"There are ongoing discussion with the people Virgil says he has to talk to, and that's not me as you know. I talk to him about other things. Virgil is completely right that he doesn't know what his future is if he hasn't signed the contract yet."
