Paul Pogba 'tipped' to make Premier League move before transfer deadline in deal that would stun world football

Paul Pogba is currently a free agent.

Former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has been tipped to make a shock return to the Premier League.

Pogba, 31, is currently a free agent after having his contract terminated by Juventus due to a positive drug test.

He was banned after testing positive for DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) - a compound which promotes the production of hormones in the body including testosterone.

Since then, the 31-year-old has had his suspension reduced to 18 months and now that time has passed, Pogba is looking for a new club.

Over the last few weeks, the midfielder has been linked with clubs in Saudi Arabia, Major League Soccer and even the Premier League.

However, no decision has so far been made on his immediate future.

Paul Pogba tipped to make move to the Premier League

Speaking on talkSPORT recently, former England striker Darren Bent said he would have him at Arsenal.

He said: "Would I take him at Arsenal, three month loan, absolutely? Just because of the injuries we’ve had and a little bit of squad rotation.

"There’s still Champions League football and a league push. There’s a lot of games. He might not play many minutes but just to have him about and see where he’s at."

Bent added: "I’m not committing long term, no way, but short term I’d give that a go."

Speaking last month, former United striker Louis Saha also spoke about the possibility of Pogba making a shock return to the Premier League.

He told Casino Utan Spelpaus: "When I look at Pogba, I think that many teams in the Premier League would find signing him as a free agent an attractive proposition.

"Forget about the salary, I’m sure Paul is ready to find a compromise on that as he wants to play football again after such a long time on the sidelines."

Saha added: "When I think about Pogba, there are more positives with signing him than there are negatives. All the top clubs in the Premier League should see signing Pogba on a free transfer as an amazing opportunity. That’s how I see it."
