Man Utd have a 'strong interest' in Premier League star and poised to submit £63 million bid

Manchester United are ready to compete with Liverpool and Newcastle United for the star player's services.

Manchester United have a 'strong interest' in a Premier League star who is being tracked by Liverpool and Newcastle United, according to stunning reports.

Man United recruited heavily during the summer transfer window, signing the likes of Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Manuel Ugarte.

Despite snapping up two centre-backs in Yoro and De Ligt, another quality defender is thought to be high on the club's transfer wish-list.

And, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Man United have a 'strong interest' in Marc Guehi and are poised to submit an offer around £63 million.

Guehi starred for Crystal Palace last season and enhanced his reputation following his stellar showings for England at this summer's Euro 2024.

Newcastle tried to lure him away from Selhurst Park, having offered a financial package worth £60 million.

However, Palace rejected Newcastle's advances, but the Magpies remain interested in the defender.

Liverpool are also keeping tabs on Guehi as they could look to replace Virgil van Dijk, whose current deal is set to expire at the end of the season.

The Red Devils are ready to compete with Liverpool and Newcastle to acquire Guehi's services.

The 24-year-old graduated from Chelsea's youth academy but played just two games for the club before moving on.

He made his name at Swansea City during a loan spell, with Palace splashing out £18 million to draft him in.

The England international has made 119 appearances for the club since his transfer in the summer of 2021.

He's played every league match this season, scoring in his side's 2-1 defeat to Everton.

A move away from Palace appears to be on the cards but the club seem set to land a mammoth transfer fee.
