Hansi Flick includes Premier League star in his dream three-man shortlist to replace injured Barcelona star, he's aiming very high

Hansi Flick includes Premier League star in his dream three-man shortlist to replace injured Barcelona star, he's aiming very high

Barcelona have something of a goalkeeping headache at present.

Hansi Flick is said to have identified two Premier League stars he wants to bring to Barcelona this season.

Barca are set to be without first-choice goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen for a prolonged period after he had successful knee surgery.

The German international was stretchered off during his side's 5-1 win over Villarreal recently.

Flick is thought to have drawn up a list of potential replacements for Ter Stegen with a new goalkeeper now seen as a high priority.

According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool shot-stopper Alisson is viewed as the ideal candidate at the Nou Camp.

The Brazil international has become an integral part of the Reds squad ever since his move from Roma back in 2016.

A deal for Giorgi Mamardashvili to join Liverpool has already been agreed for next summer and that could cause Barca to pounce.

Alisson is thought to be a high earner on Merseyside but may now feel the time is right to seek pastures new.

The other two names on Flick’s wishlist are Manchester City’s Stefan Ortega and Mike Maignan of AC Milan.

Ortega was rumoured to be keen on a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer but did eventually extend his stay at the club.

The exact cost of signing Alisson or Ortega is unclear, though the report does state that Milan have set a price tag at €50-60m for Maignan.

Alisson himself has been fairly outspoken on his future at Anfield, stating how summer offers did arise from elsewhere.

“Yes, they [Saudi Arabia] had interest," Alisson said via The Times.

"I want to honour my contract and finish my contract here or make a new one. I am really happy here. My family is happy.

“I never got to the point where I was talking about wages and things like this.

"It was just interest, but when you hear about the numbers the other players are getting you are a little bit attracted. That is normal.

“The club needs to prepare for the future. We are not going to last forever here, I am getting old.

"No, for a goalkeeper I am still young, I have a lot of energy and I still have much to give for this club and I want to give to the club as much as I can."
