Manchester United’s top transfer target has reportedly been revealed with an offer set to be submitted soon.
It has been a torrid season for the Red Devils as they have failed to perform anywhere near their best.
United currently sit eighth in the Premier League table, 13 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa and 29 off leaders Arsenal.

In Europe, they endured one of the club’s worst Champions League campaigns as they finished bottom of their group behind Bayern Munich, FC Copenhagen and Galatasaray.
Looking ahead to the summer transfer window, it has been claimed that United have already identified their primary target.
As reported by Portuguese news outlet Record, via Sport Witness, United are advancing for Benfica midfielder Joao Neves.

It is believed that United are also interested in Benfica defender Antonio Silva but are currently focusing more on Neves.
With Casemiro’s future uncertain, it has been reported that United see Neves as the ‘priority to rejuvenate’ their midfield department.
The report also stated that an offer is set to be made for Neves in the short term.

It is currently unclear whether an offer will be made for both Neves and Silva or just the midfielder.
Heading into the summer, the future of manager Erik ten Hag remains in doubt due to the lack of success in the 23/24 season.
After United’s recent 4-0 defeat by Crystal Palace in the Premier League, Ten Hag vowed to keep on fighting at the club.

He said after the match: “I will keep fighting. I prepared the team in the best way I could do. It was not good enough, I have to take responsibility for that but I will find energy and prepare them for Sunday's game.”
United will be back in Premier League action this weekend when they welcome leaders Arsenal to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
