Liverpool are reportedly facing a €75 million problem that is set to prevent Paris Saint Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe from joining the club.
Over the last few seasons, Mbappe has been heavily linked with a move away from the Parc des Princes club.
However, the Frenchman made a last-minute U-turn back in 2022 to reject a move to Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid and ended up signing a new deal with PSG.
Last week, it was reported that Liverpool have become the most credible and dangerous candidate for PSG regarding Mbappe’s future.

However, it has been reported that Liverpool are now facing a €75 million problem which ultimately could prevent Mbappe from joining the club.
According to The Athletic, Mbappe’s base salary at PSG is €75 million, which excludes bonuses.
That kind of salary is set to blow Liverpool’s wage structure to pieces, with Mohamed Salah reportedly the highest earner on £350,000 per week.
It is unlikely that Liverpool will be able to afford Mbappe’s huge salary and as a result, a move to Anfield is extremely unlikely unless the Frenchman agrees to whatever terms Liverpool are able to offer.

Back in July, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp was asked about signing Mbappe, he said: “We laugh about it. I can say that I think he’s a really good player, but the financial conditions don’t suit us at all.
“I wouldn’t like to ruin the story now, but as far as I know, there’s nothing to it.”
Klopp added: “It’s possible that someone else from the club is preparing something and wants to surprise me, but that hasn’t happened in the eight years that I’ve been here. That would be the first time.”

On Sunday night, it was widely reported that a deal to bring Mbappe to Madrid is close, with the Frenchman set to sign as a free transfer when his contract expires in the summer.
