The transfer window may be closed for the vast majority of leagues but there is still a whole host of high-profile free agents available.

The European deadline day finished on Friday, with clubs in the Saudi Pro League forced to wrap up deals before Monday.

Clubs in Turkey have until September 13 to complete business, hence why Galatasaray were able to bring Victor Osimhen in on loan after he was left in limbo at Napoli.

But there are still plenty of attractive free transfers on the cards, with a star-studded 22-man squad emerging online on Reddit.

In goal, three-time Champions League winner Keylor Navas is still without a club, while centre-back options include his former teammate Sergio Ramos, Joel Matip and Mats Hummels - though the latter is set to sign for AS Roma on a short-term deal.

If a club is in need of full-backs, Serge Aurier, Layvin Kurzawa and Brandon Williams are not in currently in football employment.

Midfield offers up some appealing freebies, with Miralem Pjanic, Andre Gomes and Adrien Rabiot all potential candidates.

But it is in attack where the big guns appear. Anthony Martial left Manchester United upon the expiration of his contract in the summer but despite reported interest, has not yet found any suitors.

Memphis Depay was leading the line for the Netherlands at Euro 2024 but he and Atletico Madrid agreed to a mutual termination at the end of the campaign.

He is still searching for his next club but the likes of Sevilla and Corinthians have been linked.

The enigmatic Mario Balotelli is once again a free agent following a second spell with Adana Demirspor, looking for an 11th club.

Former Spurs and Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic is now 35 but he too could be of use for a European club, while Mbaye Niang is clubless after a short spell with Empoli in Italy.
